My second novel, SHIFTING SHADOWS was also published in 2012, nine months after THE PRAM hit number one in ghosts/occult on the Amazon charts.
But SHIFTING SHADOWS is a completely different type of story.
Two plots are combined. A family man working hard to support his family and the drama of a haunted house.
Matt moves from his home town to work as manager at a small engineering firm. He gets on well with his boss, but has to deal with opposition from the workforce who resent him.
Engrossed in his new job, he doesn’t notice the strange heavy atmosphere in the large house he thought ideal for his family. He couldn’t have been more wrong.
It is already occupied—by malicious ghosts intent on killing his children.
How did I get this idea?
A family member bought a Victorian-era house and noticed strange unexplained noises, faint voices and a child sobbing. He consulted a clairvoyant and was told that the spirit of a child haunted the house. Needless to say, he couldn’t wait to sell.
The first deal fell through due to the prospective buyer looking around the area, chatting with parents at the school gates…it was well-known in the neighbourhood that there was something wrong with the house—.
